Today: Returning to Art:

In 2006 I returned to my passion, art and am enjoying the transition of creating new work. The artwork displayed upon the pages of my website are vibrant in colour and texture. This is a vital ingredient to my painting. Looking back over my early art work when I attended college, I can see that texture, pure colour and its intellectuality has always been evident within the formating of the image, it may not be within the forefront of the painting but it has been its foundation into its  creating process. I have studied my early college work and it has taken time to regain that understanding I had when younger.

In the last year I have expanded my own intensity within my visualisation of life, rediscovering ideas formed at college and university, from finished drawings of nudes in pastel, oil paintings of chicken carcasses, and my landscapes. Life has taken me on a strange path. After graduating I chose a different career from my studied art. I returned to my passion five years ago. I have discovered as we age and mature our needs are more focused and painting is now a focal point in my life. My art work is evolving once again and I believe it will continue to. Recently I undertook the visual transformation in painting to depict what I see and how I record it. The vibrance and pureness of colour and texture within my new work is capitulating images formulating a structural and industrial image.

I have been invited to enter galleries in Italy, France and most recently this November in New York. I am now focusing upon my own shows for 2011
